Fidaxomicin

Moa:

• Inhibiting bacterial RNA polymerase at transcription initiation
• fidaxomicin binds to the DNA template RNA polymerase complex and prevents the initial separation of DNA strands

Use:

• treatment of Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea
